Full Page Screenshot
This extension collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no server behind it. Everything below explains exactly why that is true rather than asking you to take it on trust.
The short version
Full Page Screenshot captures the page in the tab you are looking at and gives you the image. It collects no personal information, no browsing history, no page content and no usage analytics. It has no account, no login and no server. Your screenshots are assembled inside your own browser and stay on your own computer unless you choose to save them.
What the extension can reach
It requests two permissions and no others:
- activeTab, which Chrome grants only for the single tab whose toolbar button you press, and only until you navigate that tab elsewhere. This is what allows the page to be photographed.
- scripting, which lets the extension run its own small script inside that same tab to measure the page, scroll it one screen at a time, and put the scroll position and layout back afterwards.
It requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any website and cannot run anywhere you have not pressed the button. It does not request access to your other tabs, your cookies, your browsing history, your downloads or your files.
Where your screenshots go
Nowhere. Each screen is captured by Chrome, held in the extension's own memory, joined into a single image on a canvas inside your browser, and discarded when you close the tab. Nothing is uploaded, and no copy is kept. An image is written to disk only at the moment you press Download.
What is stored on your device
Only your own preferences: the image format you last chose, the pause length in the settings panel, and whether you prefer the preview fitted or at full width. These are kept in ordinary browser storage on your machine so the extension behaves the way you left it. They are not personal data, they are never transmitted, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Network connections
There are none. The extension makes no request to any server, ours or anyone else's. It contains no remote code, no third-party library, no tracking pixel and no analytics. It cannot phone home, because there is nothing to phone and no code to do it with.
Selling or sharing data
There is no data to sell or share. Nothing is transferred to any third party, nothing is used for advertising or credit assessment, and nothing is used for any purpose beyond the extension's single job of taking a screenshot for you.
Who publishes it
Hamed Arab, Birmingham, United Kingdom. If you have a question about the extension or spot something wrong with it, email hi@hamedarab.academy.
Changes
If a future version of the extension ever needs a new permission, or ever needs to send anything anywhere, this page will say so before that version is released. Chrome also asks you to approve any newly requested permission yourself.
