Privacy policy
Plain English, no legal wall. Here is what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
Who we are
Hamed Arab Academy is run by Hamed Arab, trading as Studio Saina Ltd (company number 12770445), based in Birmingham, UK. If you have any question about your data, email hi@hamedarab.academy.
What we collect
When you sign up on this site (for example to get a free resource or join the community) we collect your name, your email address, an optional answer to “what best describes you”, and which resource or magnet you requested. Once we start sending you emails, we also see basic engagement data: whether an email was opened and whether you clicked a link inside it.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to deliver the resource you asked for, and, with your consent, to send you occasional emails: tips, new resources, and workshop invitations. We look at open and click data so we can keep those emails relevant and stop sending you things you never engage with. Both of these rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the form and can withdraw at any time. We never sell your data to anyone.
Where your data lives
Your details are stored with our email delivery provider, Resend, our website host, Vercel, and our own contact-management system, which runs on a server based in the EU (Hetzner). All three are reputable providers who are contractually bound to protect your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops all marketing emails immediately. We keep a minimal record on a suppression list so that we don't accidentally email you again in future.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. The quickest way is the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by emailing hi@hamedarab.academy. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site does not use any analytics or tracking cookies. We don't run Google Analytics, and we don't store anything on your device to measure your visit: no cookie, no local storage, no advertising pixel. Any cookies you see come from the standard operation of the site itself, not from us tracking you.
How we measure visits
We do count visits, and we'd rather tell you exactly how. When you open a page we record the page address, the country your connection appears to be in, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, your browser and operating system, the website that sent you (if any), and how far down the page you read. We also use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless, for basic page counts.
What we deliberately do not do: we do not store your IP address, we never record the part of a web address after a “?”, we do not know your name or email from any of this, and we do not follow you to other websites or sell anything to advertisers. To group the pages of a single visit we use a scrambled code that is rebuilt from scratch every day, so you cannot be recognised tomorrow as the same person who visited today. Records are deleted after 180 days.
We rely on legitimate interests to understand which articles and tools are useful. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal we record nothing at all: no request is even sent.
