What you will be able to do

By the end of a 10-session pack you will have a production-ready CAD/CAM workflow: from a sketch on the bench, through a clean Rhino model, into 3D print, and through to a caster. You will know your printer, your resin, your file checks, and your handoff format. You leave with the practical workflow and a signed copy of the book to use as the standing reference.

Who it is for

  • ·Jewellers ready for full CAD/CAM production capability.
  • ·Bench jewellers expanding their service offer with CAD and printing.
  • ·New entrants to the trade who want a complete workflow from day one.
  • ·Anyone using the book who wants 1:1 guidance through the practical chapters.

What we cover

1

From sketch to Rhino

The bridge from bench sketches to CAD-ready intent. The book's chapter 1 to 3, applied to your own designs.

2

Modelling for casting

Shanks, settings, pavé, mounts. What changes when the file is going to a caster versus a printer.

3

3D printer choice and resin

Which printer, which resin, for which job. Castable resins, prototyping resins, file-thinkness rules.

4

File prep and quality control

Wall thickness checks. STL export. Orientation and supports. The pre-print checklist that prevents waste.

5

Casting handoff

What casters need, in what format. Spruing decisions. Working with UK casters and pricing realistically.

6

Your own workflow

The final sessions are spent running your own pieces end to end. You leave with a tested workflow, not a theory.
