Aurelia | The Lattice
Order, layered like light through a screen
Persian geometry is not decoration laid on a surface. It is the surface, resolved. Scroll, and the planes part; move the pointer, and the whole screen catches the light a degree at a time.
The eight-point star
One rule, endlessly kept
The girih is built from a small set of tiles, repeated with discipline. Nothing is improvised. The richness is not in variety but in the patience of the repetition.
We design the same way. A single governing proportion, held across every piece, until the collection reads as one hand.
Depth
Nearer, and nearer still
Three lattices sit at three depths, all drawn from one grid. The nearest moves most, the furthest barely at all, and a soft fog holds them apart. Scroll far enough and the pattern remembers itself: the planes fall back into register, as if the screen had never moved.
